The town of Campos dates
back to 1163, when Sancho de Tarazona bequeathed
the Castle of Aliaga and all the surrounding area
to the Order of the Hospital. Later on, in 1181,
Pedro the bishop of Saragossa gave the church
of Campos along with its tithes to the same Order.
Campos, 1292 m. above sea level appears before

buildings are the Town Hall,
with arches on the ground floor leading into
the guild hall, built in the XVIII c. Highlights
of its Baroque XVII century church
devoted to the Purísima are the portico
with its Corinthian columns and its magnificent
facade. In the upper part of the town visitors
will come across the ruins of the hermitage
of Santa Ana dating back to the S.XVII
c. from where one can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic
view of the entire area.
